An Ambassador cannot be converted to a Merc. You can buy a used Merc for the same price. A 123 series Merc which was in production from 1973 to 1985 can be had for about 1 lac . Of course this car wil not be in good condition but can be made out . This will be any day better than a converted car. When you convert an Amby to Merc, body panels are converted , mechanically the suspension, brakes steering transmission etc are too much complicated to be put into the frame / chassis of AMBY hence buy an old Merc and enjoy
